Our theory portion of training, 229 hours as allowed by the state, is completed 100% online with ongoing support and weekly virtual check-ins to help you stay on track and succeed in our program.

The remaining practical hours (280 hours) are completed on campus with two scheduling options.

Renewed Spirit Day Spa Academy Blended Esthetics Program

Online Learning

Renewed Spirit Day Spa Academy is excited to offer a Blended Esthetics Program, approved by the State of Wisconsin under Cos 5.01 Courses. This program is designed to provide comprehensive instruction for students seeking an esthetician license, with curricula based on the board-approved syllabus. We are able to offer courses remotely as deemed appropriate by the school and approved by the board.

  • The hybrid option of our Blended Esthetics Program consists of 229 hours of virtual instruction and 221 hours of in-person instruction.

Technology Prerequisites

To participate in the blended program, students will need:

  • A desktop, laptop, or tablet equipped with a functioning camera and microphone.

  • The latest version of a major web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge).

  • A stable, high-speed internet connection (Wi-Fi or wired broadband) with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps. For cellular data, 4G LTE/5G is necessary.

Time Recording Guidelines

Students can accrue a maximum of 8 hours of learning per day, totaling no more than 56 hours per week, until the program's maximum allowable hours for hybrid learning are reached (currently 229 hours). Time tracking reports for the preceding week will be generated every Monday after 3:00 PM.

Student Expectations for Time Tracking

Students are expected to follow the academy's code of conduct and demonstrate effective time management. Learning activities should be conducted in a quiet, distraction-free environment.

It is mandatory to manually log out of the learning platform to ensure accurate recording of hours. Time is monitored through user activity data and reported in hours, minutes, and seconds. The system will automatically log students out after a period of inactivity (between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the platform), and the learning session will end after a set duration.

Students must only work within one browser tab while accessing the online course. Simultaneous login to the online course on a computer and the mobile application is prohibited. Students should not install any software (such as ad blockers or privacy browsers), extensions, or make system configurations that could interfere with accurate time tracking. The mobile application should not be used for completing educational coursework.

Hybrid Program Refund Policy

Course fees and textbook costs for the blended program are nonrefundable unless the materials are unused and have not been accessed. Any refunds issued will be reduced by the cost of nonrefundable items.
